About Dipankar
Dipankar is a practicing architect from New Delhi, India. He is a partner in the architecture, Interior design and project management firm ENAR CONSULTANTS and has been actively rendering design solutions for the last 23 years. He is a postgraduate in Environmental planning and specializes in design of Institutional and Industrial architecture. Photography is Dipankar's passion and he makes fequent forays to wildplaces in India and around the world to capture nature's bounties. He is widely travelled to most national parks in India and also biodiversity hotspots such as Masai Mara in Kenya, Okavango delta in Botswana, Madagascar, Srilanka and Borneo.
Besides wildlife, Dipankar is a keen architectural photographer and documents not only the buildings designed by himself but also important monuments and buildings all around the globe. His special interest lies in photgraphing buildings at dusk to capture the illuminated builtform juxtaposed with elements in silhoutte.
India is a large and vibrant country teeming with people and festivals. Dipankar has been recently photographing India's festivals through the eyes of the people who celebrate them.Dipankar also has interest in journaling and sketching and enjoys rendering his sketches in watercolour. Birds, specially raptors are currently his favourite subjects. Dipankar relies on Canon EOS full frame DSLRs and EF L lenses to make images.
